Information

After World War II and the Greek Civil War, much of the population left for larger towns and cities especially Patras and started its population trend to fall.

The village was mostly affected by the forest fires in 2007. Flames on Monday August 27 and Tuesday August 28 spread to most of Doukas but only to the south; firefighters battled the blaze and took several hours to contain. The flames did not reach the northern portion and avoided entering the other side of the Foloi range. Several buildings were damaged but most of its forests were burnt by arsons from the western portion of the prefecture.

Economy

Its residents live of agriculture and many of these are art workers and hotel services.
